YouVersion celebrates most engaged Easter in its history

Easter Sunday 2025 marked a historic milestone for YouVersion, as it became the single biggest day for Bible engagement in the app’s 16-year history. A record-breaking 18.95 million people engaged with Scripture through the Bible App—an increase of 12% from last Easter.

Engagement was strong throughout Holy Week, with the Bible App for Kids seeing over half a million children explore God’s Word during Easter weekend alone—a new record for the children’s app.

YouVersion also saw the highest-ever engagement for several key features during Holy Week, including:

• The most Guided Scripture moments completed in a single day
• The most Prayers created
• The most Bible verses shared

Around the world, momentum was especially evident in regions like North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, where installs of YouVersion’s Family of Apps surged by 61% and Bible engagement grew by 27% compared to last year. Sub-Saharan Africa followed closely with a 38% rise in installs and a 24% increase in engagement. Even in the highly-engaged region of North America, YouVersion saw an 11% increase over last Holy Week.

We’re thrilled that this Easter Sunday was the biggest day for Bible engagement in YouVersion’s history. But what’s even more incredible is that many of our record days for engagement have happened on seemingly ordinary days this year, with no specific reason for the spikes—except that God is on the move.”
