Bible App launched among the first free apps available in the Apple App Store in 2008. Since then, it’s been installed in every country of the world. The app offers a free Bible experience in more than 2,000 languages, and uses features like Verse of the Day, Bible Plans, Guided Prayer, and Daily Refresh to help people deepen their relationship with God.
Designed to help people access God’s Word in areas with device and data limitations, Bible App Lite is available entirely offline and has key features of Bible App, including Verse of the Day, Audio Bibles, and Prayer. The app launched in October 2022 and was installed on more than 14 million devices within its first year. It also reached the number one spot in the Google Play Store in countries like Kenya, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Bible App Lite is currently available in more than 175 countries and territories across Africa, SE Asia, and Latin America.
Developed in partnership with OneHope in 2013, Bible App for Kids is designed to bring Scripture to life through interactive animations and fun activities. As children experience 41 of the major stories of the Bible, it helps them fall in love with God’s Word. The app has been translated into more than 65 languages, from German and French to Mongolian and Swahili. In April 2023, Bible App for Kids surpassed 100 million installs on devices worldwide.
With the goal of helping churches stay connected to their community within the Bible App, YouVersion Connect offers an in-app profile page, access to global Bible engagement trends, and dashboards to measure their content performance.
