405. Invite Other Pastors to Use the Bible App

Whether you’re part of a denomination or know of a few churches in your area doing similar work, you can share digital discipleship strategies in the Bible App. When multiple churches align around the same Plans, initiatives, and engagement rhythms, the impact multiplies.

How Churches Use This

Invite 2-3 churches in your area or denomination to join the Bible App and create a Church Page. Share a starter Plan and some tips to get started from your own experience. Host a quarterly call to learn what’s working for digital discipleship.

If you are a Content Partner, develop Plans that speak to your churches. Get early feedback from other pastors before submitting, and use data to show what themes resonate across churches that you can speak to through content.

Here are some specific use cases:

• Denominational Advent campaign. A denomination of 200 churches agrees to feature the same Advent Plan. The denominational office provides a campaign kit: the Plan, suggested Posts, promotional graphics, and a guide for local customization. Each church adds their own Events and campus-specific content. The result: 200 churches reading the same Scripture together, creating an experience during Advent.
• Church planting network. A church planting network makes YouVersion part of every new church’s launch kit. Before the first service, the church’s page is live, a “New Here” Plan is featured, and the founding pastor has been trained on 101: Foundation. Every planted church starts with a digital discipleship foundation from day one.
• Peer learning circle. Five pastors from different churches in the same city form an informal network. They agree to feature the same Plans each quarter and share what they’re learning. It’s not formal governance—it’s collaborative learning that makes all five churches stronger.

Operational Guidance

• Frequency: At least one shared initiative per year. Quarterly check-in calls are recommended.
• Preparation needed: Shared Plan selection, campaign kit creation, and communication among church leaders.

Best Practices

• Lead by example. Share your own learnings and expertise to the pastors and churches you invited to use the Bible App.
• Celebrate with data. When 50 churches read the same Plan together, that’s worth celebrating. Share the collective numbers and stories to build excitement around the body of Christ in God’s Word together.
• Crowdsource new ideas and what’s working. Sharing insights, wins, and learning across contexts and communities can help every church improve their discipleship. Be open to learning from others.
